The NCAA has selected Teamworks to provide name, image, and likeness services to student-athletes and member schools. The national office will offer this new service to institutions to facilitate seamless disclosures of NIL activities to Division I schools and the NCAA. Additionally, it will provide valuable education and insights into the evolving NIL environment.
As you prepare for the launch on August 1, 2024, we've put together this FAQ document to help answer some of your questions.
How do I submit my data to the de-identified NCAA NIL dashboard if my institution is not a current Influencer customer?
- There will be a public transaction uploader where you can upload your transactions via a CSV upload. You will do this with an Influencer login for security purposes. The link and CSV template will be accessible from the NCAA NIL Resource Center Website starting August 1st, 2024.
How do I submit my data if I am a current Influencer customer?
- The Influencer team will automatically sync data from the Influencer Compliance Ledger to the data dashboard to alleviate your reporting requirements set forth by the NCAA. If you would not like the data from your account to sync to the de-identified data dashboard automatically, please contact your Influencer Product Success Manager.
Does the NCAA have access to the school's Influencer Compliance Ledger or individual deal data?
- No. NCAA representatives only have access to the public-facing, de-identified data dashboard.
What data will be displayed in the data dashboard?
- Median and average transaction values with filters for date range, transaction type, conference, sport, and position. There will not be a school or student-athlete filter. There also will not be individual deal information.
Can student-athletes add service providers to the registry?
- No, service providers will fill out their information to join the registry.
How will student-athletes review service providers?
- Student-athletes will do this within the Influencer mobile app.
If we are not an Influencer school, how will student-athletes log in to the Influencer mobile app to execute service provider reviews?
- If you use Teamworks Hub, your student-athlete can log into the Influencer mobile app by using the sign-in with Teamworks option. If you do not have Teamworks Hub or Influencer at your school, your student-athletes will receive an invite to join the platform.
How will student-athletes access education?
- Student-athletes can access education through the Influencer mobile app in the Storyteller Playbook or on the public-facing website.
Can I, as an administrator, access educational content?
- Yes! On the public-facing website.
Will I receive any form of confirmation when I upload my data?
- Yes! You will receive an email confirmation of submission.
